Rick and Judy Frohreich Stayton, Oregon
Ceramic Containers, fired to cone 6 and considered stoneware.
Colors are white, terra cotta and cream glaze.
With 30 years in art education and 20 years in retail, Rick
and Judy Frohreich combined their knowledge to create Barn Buckets. The
detailed surfaces were originally inspired by Gothic cathedrals during
Judy’s graduate work at Western University. That concept eventually evolved
into hand built slab forms that celebrate the workmanship found in antique
hardware. Each piece is a unique composition made possible with hundreds of
combinations, impressions and surface manipulations. These two potters work
out of their home in Stayton, Oregon and are represented in several
galleries in Oregon.

reproduction of the Artworks.
